I really underestimated how much worse dA could get, but with this influx of AI nonsense it's basically the worst it's ever been. This site is damn-near unusable at this point, and it's so disheartening to see how far it's fallen. There really is nowhere left on the internet where genuine art communities can come together. It's all corrupted by the pursuit of corporate interests and crypto/ai nonsense. Think I'm just gonna archive everything I've got uploaded and hold out hope for another art centered community to come along that won't completely fuck things up.

That's largely from suffering the worst burnout of my life due to working ICU during the worst of the pandemic. The stress of covid in the hospital completely sapped my creative energy and fully stole my desire to make art away. Things are slowly changing, and I hope to make a concerted effort to reconnect with my creativity. I'm finally beginning the process of healing this fresh new trauma. Things don't seem quite so hopeless anymore. Hopefully I'll be able to share some new work soon. Wish me luck.
